The contractor for the new Village 21 project at the corner of Wedgewood Avenue and 21st Avenue S. will be blasting Monday through Friday this week and for the following two weeks. The scheduled blasting times are 9 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. each day. No blasting will be done on Saturdays—only drilling.
The utilities portion of the construction project is expected to be completed within the next two weeks. Once Phase 2 of the project begins, the construction team will start on the building’s foundation, a project that will continue for several weeks.
The Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s Office of Space and Facilities Planning will continue to keep the Vanderbilt community apprised of any changes or updates to the situation.
