School of Nursing buildings to close temporarily starting June 27

Jun. 18, 2018, 2:39 PM

The School of Nursing buildings at 461 21st Ave. S. will be closed 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 27 through 6 a.m. Thursday, July 5 due to a planned power outage for major electrical work. The school will remain open with faculty and staff working from off-campus locations.

The closure impacts Godchaux Hall, Patricia Champion Frist Hall and the Nursing Annex. School of Nursing offices at the SONY building and 1107 18th Ave. will have power and operate as usual. The power outage will allow work crews to install electrical equipment for VUSN’s new expansion and replace older HVAC units operating at Frist Hall.

For safety reasons, the buildings will be off-limits during that time except for the construction crew. Faculty, administration and staff will be accessible by email and telephone.
