Upgrade to bring enhanced features, functionality to eStar

Apr. 4, 2019—In the early morning hours of April 7, eStar, the Epic-based electronic health record (EHR) at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, will undergo its first major upgrade since the system went live in a coordinated “Big Bang” across most of the Medical Center in November 2017.

eStar Stabilization effort making steady progress

Mar. 8, 2018—In mid-January, representatives from Epic visited Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where they rounded on a number of hospital units and outpatient clinics. They used anonymous survey results and spoke directly with clinicians, nurses and other staff members to better understand how well VUMC was doing two months after its transition to eStar.

Vendor for VUMC clinical systems upgrade named

Dec. 18, 2015—Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) has announced an agreement with Epic Systems Corp., a privately owned health care software company based in Verona, Wisconsin, to provide key clinical, administrative and billing software to the Medical Center.
