Apr. 26, 2018—Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center may nominate one candidate for the 2019 Pew-Stewart Scholars for Cancer Research Program. This program supports assistant professors of outstanding promise in science relevant to the advancement of a cure for cancer.
Feb. 15, 2018—Vanderbilt (VU and VUMC, collaboratively) may choose one nominee for the V Foundation V Scholar Award program, which is open to research in all cancer types. The V Foundation aims to “achieve victory over cancer” in part by funding cancer research grants.
Feb. 8, 2018—Vanderbilt (VU and VUMC, collaboratively) has been invited to participate in the V Foundation 2018 Pediatric Cancer Research Grant Program. Vanderbilt may choose one nominee for the program. The single nominee may apply in either the V Scholar or the Translational program type for support.
Jan. 3, 2018—Vanderbilt (VU and VUMC) may nominate one assistant professor for the Association of American Medical Colleges Herbert W. Nickens Faculty Fellowship. The recipient receives a $15,000 grant to support a project performed in the United States to support racial and ethnic minorities.
Aug. 4, 2017—Vanderbilt may nominate up to two faculty for the Greenwall Faculty Scholars Program in Bioethics.
May. 8, 2017—Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center (VICC) may nominate two junior faculty candidates for the Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation for Cancer Research Awards: one in Mainstream/Conventional research, and one in Integrative Medicine research for 2017.
