Registration is open for the 2018 Tennessee Disability MegaConference, to be held May 24–25 at the Nashville Airport Marriott. This year’s theme is “Rising Strong Together.”

Tennessee Disability MegaConference is Tennessee’s largest disability-specific conference for individuals with disabilities, families and professionals. At the conference people share the latest information and innovations on many topics including housing, employment, education, health care, recreation and leisure, mental health and others.

Among some of the events scheduled are talks from nationally renowned speakers. Presenting keynote talks will be Joseph Macbeth and Drew Basham. Macbeth serves as executive director of the National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals. He began performing at the age of 13 and has performed at various events for Borderless Arts TN during the past several years as well as with the Nashville Symphony’s Free Day of Music. Also presenting will be Jonathan Martinis, legal director, Quality Trust for Individuals with Disabilities. MegaConference attendees will have five opportunities to hear Martinis speak on the topic of supported decision-making.

In addition to the talks, attendees can participate in interactive workshops and educational sessions, take in exhibits of disability products and services, and shop for art and gift items from self-advocate artists and entrepreneurs.

CEUs will be offered to physical therapists, certified case managers, vocational rehabilitation counselors, and certified rehabilitation counselors. Certificates of Attendance will be issued for social workers, teachers and others for contact hours.

MegaConference registration is available for two-day and one-day attendance. Early bird registration of $245 (two days) and $130 (one day) is available until March 31, after which registration rates increase to $285 (two days) and $150 (one day). Tickets for the MegaConference Awards Banquet are $50 each. Limited registration stipends are available for individuals with disabilities, their family members and caregivers.
