VUMC Nursing brings wellness initiative to Nashville Public Library’s Hadley Park branch

Aug. 24, 2023—A group of Vanderbilt nurses recently teamed up with the Hadley Park branch of the Nashville Public Library for a day of new wellness initiatives — including sharing health education information, raising awareness of health risks, and demonstrating healthy oral care habits to the community of North Nashville.

Brenda Swift, president of Vanderbilt Imaging Services, and Charles Watkins, of construction firm Oman-Gibson Associates, unveiled a rendering of Vanderbilt Imaging Services’ future Bellevue location during a groundbreaking event on Aug. 17. The new clinic, located at 8124 Sawyer Brown Road, is slated to open in fall 2024 and will include MRI, CT, ultrasound, fluoroscopy X-ray, and mammography services.

Bellevue imaging clinic groundbreaking

Aug. 23, 2023—A rendering of Vanderbilt Imaging Services’ future Bellevue location was revealed during a groundbreaking event on Aug. 17.

Children had a field day on Oct. 19 exploring with Vanderbilt scientists the “great big world of tiny microbes” — bacteria, viruses and other germs. The third annual MEGAMicrobe event, hosted by the Vanderbilt Institute for Infection, Immunology and Inflammation (VI4), was held at Granbery Elementary School in Brentwood.
