Heckers honored by National Alliance on Mental Illness
Nov. 1, 2018—Stephan Heckers, MD, MSc, William P. and Henry B. Test Professor of Schizophrenia Research and chair of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, was recently recognized by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) with a 2018 Exemplary Psychiatrist Award.
Pediatric Behavioral Consult Line expands hours, services
Oct. 25, 2018—Thanks to a collaborative effort between the Vanderbilt Health Affiliated Network, Population Health and Vanderbilt Behavioral Health, the Pediatric Behavioral Consult Line recently made expanded hours and services available for the network’s pediatricians.
New support group formed for patients with Ménière’s disease
Oct. 25, 2018—Beginning Nov. 6, Vanderbilt’s Department of Otolaryngology will host a monthly support group for patients living with Ménière’s disease, a disorder effecting the inner ear that is characterized by episodes of symptoms such as vertigo (dizziness), tinnitus (a ringing inside the ear) and hearing loss.
New incentive offered in search for outdated VUMC logos
Oct. 18, 2018—Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s Strategic Marketing team is on a quest to get rid of old and outdated VUMC logos, and it needs help from the VUMC community to make the removal project possible.
