Nursing school project helps ready children for kindergarten

Jun. 28, 2012—Vanderbilt University School of Nursing students, working in partnership with the Martha O’Bryan Center, United Neighborhood Health Services (UNHS) and Kirkpatrick Elementary School, developed a pilot project to increase awareness and improve access for children in the Cayce Place community who need to register for kindergarten.

Vanderbilt University Medical Center achieves Magnet status

Apr. 20, 2012—Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) has been granted its second consecutive Magnet® status by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Magnet Recognition Program®, a rigorous multi-year appraisal process reflecting the strength and quality of nursing and interdisciplinary collaboration at Vanderbilt. VUMC received its first Magnet designation in 2006.
