Vanderbilt Kennedy Center director receives honors

Nov. 30, 2004—Vanderbilt Kennedy Center director Pat Levitt has been awarded the 2004 Friend of Children award by the Tennessee Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. The award recognizes Levitt's contributions at the local, state and national level to the healthy development of children.

Infant development expert to speak at Vanderbilt Kennedy Center

Dec. 1, 2003—How much do babies understand about the world around them? More than we ever expected, Harvard researcher and national expert on infant development Elizabeth Spelke discovered. Spelke will discuss infant development and what it reveals about the origins of human knowledge in her lecture Thursday, Dec. 4, at 4 p.m. at the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center for Research on Human Development.
