May. 18, 2017—The Section of Surgical Sciences recently hosted an inaugural Vanderbilt Women in Surgery event that featured a panel discussion with three prominent female Nashville surgeons: Bonnie Miller, M.D., Senior Associate Dean for Health Sciences Education and Executive Vice President for Educational Affairs; Gretchen Jackson, M.D., Ph.D., associate professor of Pediatric Surgery; and Jeanne Ballinger, M.D., general surgeon with Saint Thomas Health.
