Apr. 10, 2020—As of April 9, Vanderbilt University Adult Hospital (VUAH) had admitted 79 patients with COVID-19, 55 of those admitted had subsequently been discharged, and three patient had died. Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital had admitted 10 patients with COVID-19, none had died, and one of those admitted had subsequently been discharged.
Jun. 7, 2018—The conversion of the eighth floor of Medical Center East (MCE)-North Tower on the Vanderbilt University Medical Center campus from outpatient space to inpatient beds is now complete and the new unit is scheduled to open on Tuesday, June 19.
Feb. 15, 2018—Construction on various areas of Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is continuing at a rapid pace, with several projects now completed and others scheduled for completion in the coming months.
Nov. 2, 2017—Later this fall, a new three-floor pedestrian bridge will be installed connecting the North Tower of Vanderbilt University Adult Hospital (VUAH) to Medical Center East (MCE)-North Tower. The new bridge will connect the two buildings on the sixth, seventh and eighth floors.
Aug. 8, 2017—From 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, Medical Center Drive will be reduced to one southbound lane of traffic. The lane reduction will extend from the intersection of Medical Center Drive and 21st Avenue South to the crosswalk at the west exit of East Garage.
Sep. 17, 2015—Beginning Monday, Oct. 5, the Medical Center East and Vanderbilt Clinic pharmacies will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
