Heart Walk 2020
Sep. 24, 2020—The money is still rolling in, but the Greater Nashville Heart Walk has already raised $1.3 million in its fight against heart disease and stroke as well as to provide funding for public and professional education and community service programs.

Oct. 6, 2016—On Aug. 4, 2014, Mary Thomas of Tullahoma biked 10 miles. Fourteen days later she received a life-saving heart transplant at Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC).

Oct. 8, 2015—Overcast skies, misty rain and cool temperatures did not dampen the spirits of the 9,000 walkers who descended on Vanderbilt’s campus for the American Heart Association’s 2015 Greater Nashville Heart Walk, which was held Saturday, Oct. 3.
Pioneering transplant patient readies for Heart Walk
Sep. 17, 2015—In April 1986 Bonnie Davis of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, became the first female patient to receive a heart transplant at Vanderbilt University Hospital. On Oct. 3, she will return to campus to participate in the Greater Nashville Heart Walk.
