Mar. 24, 2021—The heart transplant program at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt experienced back-to-back record years for the number of heart transplants performed.
Dance Marathon rings up funds for Children’s Hospital
Mar. 24, 2021—Recently, students from 12 colleges and high schools across the area teamed up to host one collective virtual dance marathon event, called “Marathon of Marathons,” to raise funds for Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.
Jeffries named dean of Vanderbilt University School of Nursing
Mar. 24, 2021—Pamela Jeffries, PhD, RN, an internationally recognized leader and innovator in nursing and health care education, will become dean of Vanderbilt University School of Nursing, effective July 1, pending Board of Trust approval.
Match Day reveals medical students’ residency locations
Mar. 22, 2021—Match Day — and Vanderbilt’s longstanding tradition of gathering fourth-year medical students, their families, friends and faculty together to celebrate — was revamped again this year to implement social distancing measures due to COVID-19. Unlike last year, however, the students had the option to reveal their residency matches either in person or virtually via livestream.
VEI book wins four regional ADDY awards
