Raiford named Health System chief of staff
May. 8, 2014—David Raiford, M.D., associate vice chancellor for Health Affairs, senior associate dean for Faculty Affairs, professor of Medicine and Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s chief compliance officer, has been named chief of staff for the Vanderbilt Health System. His appointment becomes effective July 1.
Patel named chief medical informatics officer
Aug. 22, 2013—Neal Patel, M.D., MPH, has been named chief medical informatics officer for the Vanderbilt University Health System. Patel, professor of Clinical Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine, has served as the inpatient chief medical information officer since 2006.
