At 2 a.m. Sunday, six gunshot patients poured into the Vanderbilt ER. It was the fourth mass shooting seen there in the past 15 months. -

Team to develop ‘safe harbor’ standards of care
A team of researchers from Vanderbilt Health and Vanderbilt University’s schools of Law, Medicine and Management has received a five-year $1.7 million research grant from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality of the Department of Health and Human Services to develop and test “safe-harbor” standards of care based on scientific evidence. -

Radiologist Taber thrives on teaching, diagnostic challenges
David Taber, MD, has practiced radiology for more than 40 years, with the first half of his career spent in private practice and the second half at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. In addition to his clinical practice within the musculoskeletal and emergency radiology section of the Department of Radiology, Taber serves as an assistant director of the diagnostic radiology residency program. -
