Match Day — and Vanderbilt’s longstanding tradition of gathering fourth-year medical students, their families, friends and faculty together to celebrate — was revamped to accommodate the social distancing measures that have been put in place to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

The Vanderbilt University School of Medicine (VUSM) Medical Scholars Research Symposium was held Feb. 3 and highlighted the work of eight medical students who spent the 2018-2019 academic year immersed in research under the guidance of faculty mentors.

Neil Osheroff, PhD, was elected president of the International Association of Medical Science Educators (IAMSE) and will serve from January 2020-December 2021.
