All employees interested in connecting with colleagues across the medical center and advancing VUMC’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion have the opportunity to join an Employee Resource Group.
Membership remains open to employees for all six of VUMC’s Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) — the African American ERG, the Asian American/Pacific Islander ERG, the Disability ERG, the Hispanic/Latinx ERG, the Pride ERG, and the Veterans ERG.
ERGs were created to foster a sense of belonging and community among VUMC employees who share common interests, culture and goals.
Each ERG meets regularly throughout the year to provide support and networking opportunities for its members. They also develop and coordinate educational and social events that support VUMC’s strategic direction to “make diversity and inclusion intentional.”
Every ERG is open to all VUMC employees. In addition, there are no demographical requirements to become an ERG member and all allies are welcome to join any ERG.
