VUMC’s telephone system greetings have now been translated for Spanish and Arabic speakers. Adding these two commonly spoken languages will fulfill the needs of 98% of those calling the Medical Center and will provide a direct line for Spanish and Arabic speakers to VUMC’s translator services team.
The change went live in mid-December. Prior to the update VUMC’s message was only in English, and, while a connection to a translation service was available, accessing this service was often a lengthy process.
