Vanderbilt Enterprise Cybersecurity’s Security Operations and Services has announced that specific remote access applications and file-sharing applications for ingress and egress internet traffic will be blocked from the VUMC network beginning on Monday, June 3, 2024. This change will not impact internal workflow or VPN connections.
By blocking certain applications, this effort will enhance VUMC’s security posture and prevent unauthorized users from accessing high-risk services and applications.
