VUMC Pets of the Day: Maxx and Sassy

Today’s Dog of the Day is Maxx, submitted by Tami Crowder of the Center for Women’s Health in Pleasant View. “Maxx is a very special dog and is used as an emotional support dog for my husband and he does very well at his job.”

Today’s Raccoon of the Day is Sassy, submitted by Lori Fields of the Telemetry Department at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital. “Sassy is a two year old, gray colored female raccoon. We got her when she was 3 weeks old. She is fully legal (permitted by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency) and vaccinated. She loves sleeping in the bed with Mom, car rides, and FOOD!”

Pets of the Day — what you need to know

The Vanderbilt University Medical Center Pets of the Day are included in regular editions of the MyVUMC newsletter, which is posted twice a week by VUMC News and Communications.

The pets are selected from the hundreds of entries sent earlier this year to the VUMC Voice Pet Photo Contest.

For those who submitted a photo to that contest, watch MyVUMC for Pets of the Day, and in addition, regular collections of pet photos are posted to the VUMC Voice site. You can see them all here: https://news.vumc.org/section/voice/pets-vumc/.

If you have a pet you would like to nominate for Pet of the Day, the next Pet Photo Contest submission period is coming up later this year, and will be announced in MyVUMC.

Maxx and Sassy were featured in the July 16, 2024 edition of MyVUMC.
