Office of Diversity & Inclusion announces new Jewish and Muslim employee resource groups

The Office of Diversity & Inclusion has announced the launch of two new employee resource groups (ERGs): the Jewish Employee Resource Group and the Muslim Employee Resource Group.

The mission of the Jewish ERG is to promote a culture of diversity and inclusion through shared community, visibility, networking, and leadership development. The group will offer programming centered around creating a place of belonging for those who identify as Jewish as well as family, friends, and allies of the Jewish community. Together Hasan Siddiqi MD, MSCI, and Saeed Mohammed, MD, will lead the Muslim ERG which will be hosting their official kick-off this fall. The mission of the Muslim ERG is to foster a sense of belonging for Vanderbilt employees of Muslim backgrounds by promoting inter-faith understanding, celebrating Islamic religious and cultural events, and serving as a resource for Muslim patients and the larger community.
