Typically developing females, ages 1-17, needed to learn more about Rett syndrome

Researchers at Vanderbilt are conducting a study to learn more about the brain function of females with Rett Syndrome and how it compares to the brain function of typically developing females. We hope that
this information can be used to measure effectiveness of future treatments for Rett syndrome. The
primary investigator is Jeff Neul, MD, PhD, professor of Pediatrics.

If your child agrees to help with the study she will be asked to:

  • Complete intelligence testing
  • Receive an Evoked Potential measurement – this is a non-invasive procedure similar to an EEG.
  • Complete yearly follow up visits

All participants are compensated for their time and travel.
