In observance of No Kid Hungry’s Hunger Awareness month in September, The Courtyard Café will be giving away breakfast to children under 12 on Tuesday, Sept. 17.
Currently, one in five children struggle with hunger, according to the No Kid Hungry organization, which is observing the month with the color orange, the color of hunger awareness.
Courtyard Café servers are being encouraged to wear orange and will be serving the free breakfast (carton of milk, piece of fruit and cup of cereal) to children younger than 12 between 8-10 a.m. at the cafeteria’s Mindful Station.
