Project HOPE’s Howe to speak
John Howe III, M.D., President and CEO of Project HOPE, will present “Global Health and Medical Diplomacy” as part of Vanderbilt University School of Nursing's Centennial Lecture series at noon, Thursday, April 16, in 140 Frist Hall.
Project HOPE (Health Opportunities for People Everywhere) is an international health foundation with offices and programs in 30 countries on five continents. For more than 50 years, Project HOPE has educated health professionals and community health workers, provided medicines and supplies, strengthened health facilities and fought disease.
Previously, Howe served for 15 years as chief executive for the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
