Four honored with VUMC Credo Awards
Several staff and faculty who do consistently outstanding work were honored last week at Vanderbilt University Medical Center's Leadership Assembly at Langford Auditorium.
Donna Williams, R.N., an administrative director with Operative Services, was presented with the Five Pillar Leader Award for superior
The award was presented by John Brock III, M.D., surgeon-in-chief at the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.
“Donna Williams is simply the best of the best. She makes everyone around her better. There's no greater honor for someone like me than to work with someone like Donna,” Brock said.
Credo Awards were also presented to:
Angela Wade, a server at Courtyard Café;
Mike Ondek, manager of the Vanderbilt University Hospital gift shop; and
Nick Suter, a health data coordinator with Medical Information Services.
The Leadership Assembly also recognized winners of the 2009 Excellence in Healthcare Awards, sponsored by Professional Research Consultants Inc., Vanderbilt's patient-satisfaction surveyor. As was originally reported in April, this year PRC sent 14 Top Performer Awards and 140 Five Star Awards to VUMC.
Winners of 2009 Top Performer Awards include: Rosemary Cope, L.P.C.; Darrel Ellis, M.D.; Sandra Moutsios, M.D.; and Bill Putnam, M.D. Team winners include: 5 South Neurocare; 10 South Renal Transplant; Cardiac Cath Lab; Clinical Research Center; Adult Outpatient Psychiatry; VCH Ophthalmology Day Surgery; VCH Urology Day Surgery; Perioperative Evaluation Center; and the Vascular Lab.
