Children’s Hospital annual report honored as among nation’s best
The annual report for the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt continued its winning streak with the League of American Communications Professionals' Vision Awards.
The publication, titled “We Are All Connected,” ranked 59th in the top 100 and won a gold award in the health care providers and services division.
It scored 97 out of 100 possible points overall, a one-point increase from last year's report, which also earned a gold award. Children's Hospital's first-ever annual report earned a platinum award in 2004.
Jessica Ennis edited the report, and Diana Duren was the designer, both of VUMC's Office of News and Public Affairs.
More than 3,000 entries from 20 countries were submitted to the contest,

“I'm so proud that Jessica and Diana have been nationally recognized for their work on this project — a creative look at the connections within Children's Hospital and how they lead to better outcomes for our patients,” said Nancy Humphrey, director of Publications for News and Public Affairs. “They are a great team, producing award-winning publications time after time.”
