Bruce Roth, M.D., was recently elected secretary-treasurer of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO).
He will identify ways to manage the society's budget and increase the variety of products and services available to members.
ASCO, a non-profit organization, was founded in 1964 to improve cancer care and prevention.
The organization works to advance the education of oncologists and other oncology professionals, advocate for policies that provide access to high-quality cancer care and support the clinical trials system, and increasing clinical and translational research.
