In honor of Irwin B. Eskind, M.D., the retired Nashville physician and longtime Vanderbilt benefactor who died earlier this year, the Eskind Biomedical Library and the Informatics Center at Vanderbilt University Medical Center will host a colloquium, Personalized Medicine: Customizing Evidence for Patients through Health Informatics, Oct. 28, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., in room 202 of Light Hall.

Speakers will include Joyce Mitchell, Ph.D., chair of the department of biomedical informatics, University of Utah School of Medicine; Robert Logan, Ph.D., of the Lister Hill National Center for Biomedical Communication; Mohan Dutta-Bergman, Ph.D., assistant professor of advertising, public relations and health communication at Purdue University; Mark Blatt, MBA, director of global health strategies with the digital health group at Intel Corporation; and Jim Jirjis, M.D., assistant professor of Medicine and assistant chief medical officer at VUMC.
