Yo Jackson, a nurse on 8 South, gets a balloon and a hug from the Commodore during the Community Giving campaign party held last week to thank department volunteer coordinators and celebrate the end of the campaign. The campaign raised more than $815,000. The money goes to Federation partners, which includes Community Shares, the United Way of Metropolitan Nashville, and Community Health Charities of Tennessee. Chancellor's awards were presented to VUMC's Environmental Services in the 100+ employees category; Medical Information Services in the 61-99 employees category; VMG Coding in the 31-60 employees category; and Surgical Research in the 1-10 employees category.
