RADIUS certificate renewal may affect your ability to connect to ‘VUMCEmployee’ wireless network (Wi-Fi)

On Tuesday, March 18 at 9 p.m. CDT, RADIUS certificate renewal will take place. After this renewal has been completed, you may experience difficulties connecting to the employee wireless network (Wi-Fi) at VUMC.  If your connection to the ‘VUMCEmployee’ wireless network has been affected, you will need to disconnect from the VUMC wireless network and re-connect to the same VUMC wireless network again to accept the new certification.

The RADIUS Certificate Renewal will:

  • Allow users to connect to the secure VUMCEmployee wireless network.

What to expect:

  • This change does not impact any other SSID in the VUMC wireless network.
  • Be aware of possible connectivity issues when trying to connect to your VUMCEmployee Wi-Fi.
  • Disconnect and reconnect from your VUMCEmployee wireless network if you do experience connectivity issues.
  • Select the Wi-Fi icon on the bottom-right of your taskbar.
  • After selecting VUMCEmployee for your Wi-Fi, you may see the pop-up message outlined in the below screenshot. Click connect on the pop up message.
  • Right click on VUMCEmployee if the above direction does not work and follow the below steps.
    • Select the option to “Forget” theVUMCEmployee SSID.
    • Re-Connect to VUMCEmployee.
    • Enter your VUMC ID and ePassword.
