On Tuesday, March 18 at 9 p.m. CDT, RADIUS certificate renewal will take place. After this renewal has been completed, you may experience difficulties connecting to the employee wireless network (Wi-Fi) at VUMC. If your connection to the ‘VUMCEmployee’ wireless network has been affected, you will need to disconnect from the VUMC wireless network and re-connect to the same VUMC wireless network again to accept the new certification.
The RADIUS Certificate Renewal will:
- Allow users to connect to the secure VUMCEmployee wireless network.
What to expect:
- This change does not impact any other SSID in the VUMC wireless network.
- Be aware of possible connectivity issues when trying to connect to your VUMCEmployee Wi-Fi.
- Disconnect and reconnect from your VUMCEmployee wireless network if you do experience connectivity issues.
- Select the Wi-Fi icon on the bottom-right of your taskbar.

- After selecting VUMCEmployee for your Wi-Fi, you may see the pop-up message outlined in the below screenshot. Click connect on the pop up message.

- Right click on VUMCEmployee if the above direction does not work and follow the below steps.
- Select the option to “Forget” theVUMCEmployee SSID.
- Re-Connect to VUMCEmployee.
- Enter your VUMC ID and ePassword.
