The Vanderbilt Kennedy Center for Research on Human Development will
host a workshop for children who have a sibling with special needs on
Saturday, Dec. 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Sibshop workshop is an activity-based learning retreat for children
ages 7 through 12 who have a sibling with special needs. The concept
was developed to lend siblings peer support and education in a fun and
interesting atmosphere.
Participants in the Dec. 13 Sibshop will take part in holiday events,
art projects, games and exercises. The Sibshop is free and open to the

Sibshops are a collaborative effort with several different disability
groups throughout the Nashville area. This is the second of four
Sibshops the Vanderbilt Kennedy Center will host throughout the year.
