Community Giving effort still striving to meet goal
Dig a little deeper because there are only a few weeks left in the Vanderbilt Community Giving Campaign and Vanderbilt's goal of $700,000 has not yet been reached.
As of Wednesday, Vanderbilt has raised $597,997, with approximately 40 percent of the campus participating. The campaign raises funds to help support Combined Health Appeal, Community Shares, and United Way.
The three agencies represent hundreds of different programs and projects throughout Nashville and across Middle Tennessee.
"There are still a lot of potential donors out there who have not yet turned in their pledge," said Tish Maddox, director of the Office of Internal Campaigns. "Every bit counts, so we hope that people will take the time to fill out their cards, even for a small donation."
The Community Giving Campaign is slated to end on December 31st.
