The public is invited to Songs from the Heart, a concert featuring songs penned during a special song-writing workshop by cancer survivors, family members and health care professionals with guidance from singer-songwriter Tricia Walker.
The concert will begin at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, June 9, in the theater of the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt. The event is free, although seating is limited so registration is required.
Donations will be collected for the Caring Hearts Fund, which assists cancer patients with financial hardships during their treatment at the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center.
