Grijalva lands health policy award
Carlos Grijalva, M.D., MPH, assistant professor of Preventive Medicine, has been selected to receive an award for “Outstanding Achievement for Understanding and Improving Health Policy” from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality.
The AHRQ recently released the 20th year of data from the Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project.
To celebrate this milestone the AHRQ is honoring researchers who have addressed health care research and policy issues using HCUP data, software products or tools.
“Carlos is a successful young investigator who has gained substantial national recognition,” said William Schaffner, M.D., chair of Preventive Medicine.
“In addition to his research, he has become a highly regarded faculty member in our MPH curriculum.”
