The Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt is collaborating with the Tennessee 4-H Youth Development Program to promote ATV safety.
The Children's Hospital Trauma Injury Prevention Program analyzed trauma admissions to the hospital to identify communities at risk, and the 4-H used that data to prioritize the location of ATV RiderCourse training sites.
The course's first graduates – John Clack, Logan Kennedy, David McGray and Samantha Stegery – are from Putnam County, and the goal is to reach more than 150 youth and adults statewide.
