Solberg honored by American Geriatric Society
Laurence Solberg, M.D., assistant professor of Medicine and chief of the Geriatrics Consult Service at Vanderbilt University Hospital, has been elected a fellow of the American Geriatric Society (AGS).
Solberg received his recognition at the annual AGS scientific meeting, which took place earlier this month in Seattle.
During the meeting, Solberg also facilitated a course in junior faculty development, presented two research posters and was recognized for service on the Junior Faculty Development Task Force. He was then elected to the program planning committee of the AGS.
Fellowship status is awarded to AGS members who have demonstrated a professional commitment to geriatric medicine, contributed to the progress of geriatric care and are active participants in the Society's activities. AGS fellows are dedicated to continuing education in geriatrics, teaching and research.
