Country music legend Charlie Daniels joined his cancer surgeon, Joseph Smith, M.D., chair of Urologic Surgery at Vanderbilt, and fellow cancer survivors at a prostate cancer awareness event Tuesday night. Daniels spent time sharing his own survivor story and sang some favorite songs for attendees. Smith highlighted advances in prostate cancer research and treatment available at the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center.
