TV show being filmed at VUMC
Once again, Vanderbilt University Medical Center has been chosen as the subject of a new reality TV series scheduled to debut on TLC next spring.
The series, titled “Baby's First Day,” is a new effort for TLC's daytime programming lineup and will focus on stories about mothers and their newborn babies.
Participating faculty and staff from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Center for Women's Health, Vanderbilt University School of Nursing's Midwifery Practice, Department of Pediatrics and the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt, along with their patients will be the subjects of this new series.
Filming for the project is currently under way on 4 North and 4 East in Vanderbilt University Hospital, in Children's Hospital, the Women's Center at One Hundred Oaks, the West End Women’s Health Center and the Franklin Road Women’s Health Center.
The entire first season of “Baby's First Day,” which will consist of 26 half-hour episodes, is being filmed here at VUMC. Production at VUMC will continue through mid-January 2011, with the first episodes in the series planned to debut on TLC sometime in April 2011.
