Bedside Matters set for May 21

The next Bedside Matters, an hourlong, monthly rounds geared toward helping Vanderbilt University Medical Center health care providers deal with the social and emotional issues of caring for patients and families, will be on Wednesday, May 21.

The next Bedside Matters, an hourlong, monthly rounds geared toward helping Vanderbilt University Medical Center health care providers deal with the social and emotional issues of caring for patients and families, will be on Wednesday, May 21.

The brownbag lunch event, held in 202 Light Hall from noon to 1 p.m., is titled: “Are We Doing What the Patient Wants?: Exploring Ethical Uncertainty in Caring for Patients with Ventilator-Dependent Quadriplegia.”

The forum will be facilitated by Walter Merrill, M.D. Joseph Fanning, Ph.D., is the presenter and panel members include Jenna Brent, LMSW, Oscar Guillamondegui, M.D., Timothy Nunez, M.D., Teresa Hobt-Bingham, MSN, and Mohana Karlekar, M.D.

The free event is open to VUMC staff, faculty and students. No registration is required. CME, CEU and Contact Hours will be offered.
