Parents may be overwhelmed when searching online for children’s health information. Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt has launched a health and wellness online portal to provide access to trusted doctor-reviewed information.
The Health and Wellness Portal features content from Krames Staywell, a national leader in patient health information. Diseases and conditions articles are also available in Spanish. The portal includes interactive tools such as a symptom checker, quizzes, a children’s body mass calculator and a searchable drug reference.
As part of a new system to standardize patient education materials, Krames Staywell resources are being used in clinics and hospitals across Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
