Above, officials with Williamson Medical Center and Vanderbilt University Medical Center gathered Tuesday to break ground on what will become the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital Vanderbilt at Williamson Medical Center. The expansion, to be built adjacent to Williamson Medical Center’s existing emergency department, will include upgraded surgical suites and an adjoining tower for pediatric services.
