Health care professionals who care for cancer patients can experience strong emotions with limited opportunities to cope with or express those emotions.

This month, Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center and its partners are offering a series of free writing seminars for those health care professionals. “Express Yourself: Creative Writing Series” will provide participants the opportunity to create original writing in a supportive and collaborative setting. No writing experience is required.

The sessions will be held each Wednesday in September from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at The Curb Center for Art, Enterprise and Public Policy, 1801 Edgehill Ave. The course will be led by a 2015-16 Curb Creative Writing Fellow at Vanderbilt University.

The program is a collaboration of VICC, the Vanderbilt Oncology Expressive Arts Committee and the Curb Center for Art, Enterprise and Public Policy.
