Last month, hundreds of patients living with diabetes and their family members joined the staff of the Vanderbilt Children’s Diabetes Program for the 14th annual Diabetes Family Day at the Vanderbilt Student Life Center. Attendees took part in information sessions and had opportunities to participate in group discussions and research. This year’s theme — Sugar Wars — inspired many of the participants and staff to dress as ‘Star Wars’ characters.
