Erin Morrison, Senior Director of Community Development for Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) Development since 2011, has been named Executive Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR) for VUMC Development effective Oct. 1.
In this role Morrison will lead the CFR team and work closely with team members Adele White and Dawn Blache and others in VUMC Development to focus on gift opportunities for the Medical Center through corporate and foundation relationships.
She will also collaborate with Jennifer Pietenpol, Ph.D., Executive Vice President for Research at VUMC, director of the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center and B.F. Byrd Jr. Professor of Oncology, and several other Medical Center leaders to bring significant resources to the institution’s highest priorities in research, patient care and training.
“Erin brings extraordinary skills and experiences to this important role,” Pietenpol said. “Her strength in team- and relationship-building has long supported the creativity and generosity of individuals and organizations executing various fundraising events and programs to benefit the Medical Center. We are thrilled that she will bring her expertise and many strengths to this vital role.”
“I am truly honored for this opportunity to serve the VUMC community,” said Morrison.
“It is a pleasure to work alongside our inspiring Medical Center colleagues to gain critical support for our important mission of learning, discovery and patient care. I am looking forward to building new corporate and foundation relationships and deepening existing partnerships to make an impact locally, nationally and beyond.”
