Love’s Travel Stops and Country Stores – a Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals® partner since 1998 – set a new fundraising record in its annual fundraising campaign benefiting Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. Five stores in Middle Tennessee raised $158,247 during the 2016 CMN Hospitals campaign, which ran from Aug. 26 through Sep. 30. This was a 36 percent year-over-year increase. These funds contribute to the hospital’s Growing to New Heights Campaign, which supports the four-floor expansion atop the existing Children’s Hospital structure.
While 390 Love’s locations participate in the campaign, Children’s Hospital is the benefactor of funds raised from five locations, and includes the top two stores in the country. The Columbia location raised $79,990, under the leadership of General Manager Bernie Burns. The Dickson location raised $31,536, under the leadership of General Manager Shylo Fink. All stores in Children’s Hospital’s region are under the direction of Creig Roberts, who is the top district manager in the country.
Since 1998, Love’s and its customers have raised more than $16 million to help children in need at CMN Hospitals across the U.S.
