More than 500 nurses working for Vanderbilt University Adult Hospital (VUAH) and Adult Clinics are represented on new murals that were recently installed in two locations.

One is located near the main second floor entrance to VUAH and the other is located in The Vanderbilt Clinic across from the Cancer Clinic near the Preston Research Building entrance.

Nurses are invited to try to locate their picture in the mural.

Ashley Vosilla, MSN, RN, NE-BC, senior Magnet program manager for VUAH, spearheaded the effort, working with other adult enterprise staff to make the mural a reality.

“We wanted to do something a little bit different to recognize nurses during Nurses Week,” she said. The photos of nurses, all taken in the workplace or at work events, were self-submitted. Vosilla worked with a vendor to create the large posters.

Vosilla said the mural is planned to be an annual event.
