Francesca Bagnato, PhD, MD, assistant professor of Neurology, has won the Health Professional Champion award from the Mid South Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
The annual award recognizes a health care professional active in the MS Society who provides leadership, advocacy and education to further the fight against MS.
A researcher and clinician, Bagnato is lead mentor for MS Clinical Mentorship for Medical Students, serves on the society’s Clinical Pilot Research Review Committee, and is on the local chapter’s Healthcare Provider Council.
Bagnato received the award Jan. 23, in Franklin, Tennessee, at the Mid South Chapter’s annual MS Breakthroughs event.
