Beginning Dec. 1, lab results performed at other Epic locations will appear in the Labs tab of Chart Review. This will help improve visibility of this data for all users who review laboratory data.
These results will be denoted by an “e” to distinguish them from internally performed labs. Reference ranges and abnormal values are defined by the resulting entity. There are some limitations on this data:
- Not trend-able
- Not viewable in Results Review view of Labs tab
- Results not used in clinical decision support
- Microbiology culture results not included in this change
- External results will not be captured by users’ pre-existing Chart Review filters
