As of December 16, the eStar Direct icon will no longer appear on virtual desktops throughout VUMC. The icon has been removed to address some unwanted behavior that was affecting the user experience.
The eStar Direct icon will continue to appear in the VMWare menu. Workforce members should choose the following icon based on their needs:
- Legacy eStar if they need access to other clinical applications (such as SECTRA) on the virtual desktop
- eStar Direct if they do not need to access to these applications
After logging into a virtual desktop via the legacy eStar icon in VMWare, workforce members can access eStar by clicking on the legacy eStar Hyperspace icon for accessing eStar.
