Beginning Jan. 26, VUH and Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt clinicians will see a new option in Discharge Navigator to add conditions to a discharge order. This will improve discharge efficiency by entering discharge orders with conditions earlier in admission for immediate completion.
Users will see the addition of ‘Is there a condition for discharge?’ to the discharge order. A list of discharge conditions will be displayed when the option is selected. This will allow teams to prioritize meeting conditions that could delay discharge.
